I recently got a new jardinni in my tank. he got a sore on his lips when we were trying to catch him and transporting him to my tank. recently my small dat bit his tail and got some cuts. the arowana is around 14". what is the best medication you have used that has cured open sores or fin tail rots/cuts?

i got some melafix but if there is a better med i would change to it. and last one... does the med affect my beneficial bacteria? i'm medicating my whole 180 gal.
