I have an african river setup (60gal) with a albino senegal, spotted ctenopoma, congo tetras and some kribs. Well planted with pool filter sand substrate and driftwood and rocks.
My local fish shop has a Peters elephantnose in stock and I'm tempted to get it, but would like to know if it would be suitable with whats in the tank now.
Most of what I've read seems to say they will be okay, but I'd like to be certain.

As long as it's not bite sized should be fine. I had a group of 3. Extremely intelligent and interesting fish, mine ate out of my hand.

That's totally fine. I've had an elephant nose fish for 2 1/2 years now with rummy nose tetras, pea puffers, even amano shrimp along with bigger fish. Not one has been eaten. They sometimes try to hold their boundaries by chasing a fish away but they won't hunt them down. Your setup looks good..make sure you put in plenty of caves, plants, and driftwood with a small current on the upper part of your tank but no current towards the bottom...careful with the fluctuations in your water quality. Hope it works out.
