Tank:100gallons
Filter: 2x aquaclear 110
Weekly 50% water changes
Fish: one 9" Oscar, one 8" Raphael catfish, one 11" Sailfin pleco(gibb.), six 3" Silver dollars.

The tank has been set up for just over a year.

The Oscar has always been really shy and 'scared'. The fish doesn't greet me at the tank or beg for food. Only accepts one type of floating food Tetracichlid jumbo carnivore sticks.

The tank is in my computer room and is behind my chair. I spend a lot of time in the room.

Any ideas?

maybe to much movement.. sounds like a picky oscar reae but does happen what kind of sulking does he do?

I have found my Oscars to be more sociable when grown out in pairs. For me, sex of the fish doesn't seam to matter if they are added together when young. If the other fish are constant fast movers that might be stressing the O. Mine spend most of their time swimming slowly about.

If it were me Id get rid of the SDs and add some loaches or just keep the pleco & raphael. Every SD Ive had has been skittish as hell and anything to lessen the bioload in a 100g with an Oscar cant do anything but help.

DEFINITELY not room for another O in a 100g.

Yea, every one Ive ever had would freak out, even in groups. Theyd bang the side or lids freaking out if you walked up to the tank or when my dog would walk by. Maybe some convicts or HRPs would work for you. Just make sure you get the same sex of them if you get several. Dont want a spawning pair in that tank. Theyd more than likely take over with ease. Id try 1 male con and 1 male HRP.

I started out with 3 tiny oscars about 2inches each. No Sd's at that time. My plan was to only end up with one oscar, maybe two for a little while if they got along. As they grew, the one I have now became the dominant one and chased the other two around. I sold the two smaller ones and found the 6 silver dollars.

I should add that the pleco can get very pushy. This is the second Sailfin pleco I have grown out in that tank, the previous one going to a friends indoor pond.
I would love to get my hands on an l001.

I think alot Oscar's can differ from one another, the last big guy I had would constantly attack the glass at anything that moved in front of it, but would also wag around like a puppy when he wanted attention. How often do you feed?

SD's are just vegetarian piranhas. They are VERY skittish and will stress other tank mates out. I would replace them with something else as previously stated. Good luck man!
