Hello everyone, I am looking at setting up a Marine FOWLR tank which will be 72"x24"x30" (LxWxH). By biggest issue is the sump! The stand for the tank will be only 15" high, which means i will not fit any equipment or a sump under there.

Thus I am considering placing the sump in a cupboard adjacent to the tank, about 24" away. The cupboard however has a footprint of only 25"x32". This doesnt leave me much space to fit in a sump (inc refugium for DBS), skimmer, possibly a UV, calcium reactor etc?

Please recommend a good design for a sump? Also wonderign whether the skimmer should go inside the sump, or outside with a pump feed in the sump?

Also looking for some recommendations on additional filtration equipment other than sump and skimmer. Do you recommend a calcium reactor? Fluid bed sand filter? Denitrifier etc?

Thankyou!

How tall is the cupboard? And an in-sump skimmer would certanly save room.

The cupboard is about 7ft tall! :grinno:

Which is why i could get away with a fluid bed sand filter in there - even if i attach it to the wall above the sump.

Also considering adding a diy wet/dry trickle filter between the inlet and chamber 1 of the sump...?

Was thinking of a 30"x15"x15" sump? Could consider 24" height... Unsure on width between each baffle to accomodate skimmer/DSB.

Skimmer I'm looking at is the TMC V2 1200.
