Sump design ideas

I wanted to run this buy you guys as im planning on another tank/sump.

I currently have a sump configured as follows.

But was thinking if i swap the location of the pumps and sock holders i would have more room to work with and the plumbing may be a tad bit easier.

Im also thinking of installing baffles between the sock holders (middle) and pumps (ends) to hold a crap load of purigen.

What do you guys think ? Go with the old sump layout or the new ? Im thinking i would have to be more precise with the measurments if the sock holder location with the newer design to allow enough room for the tee's

As u progress u got lots of experience. As I lean toward either with or without baffles. One thing for certain is that I would love to either 1 pump put it in the middle or even all distance between the drains n return lines. My build also has a sketch of how I would like my future sump would be like.

I was thinking with the pumps on the ends of the sump i could keep the distance even. I may just go with what i know we'll see.

Wanted you guys to pick apart the new idea for any flaws

I would put pump or pumps in the middle of sump. That eliminates the problem of either end of heats. Down side is have to build or buy 2 sock holders.
