Hi,

In attachment is project of my new Filter for Stingrays. What do you think ? Any comments and advice ?

Thank you for all posts ! :))

Tomorrow is the last day that I can order this tank :)

The overflow in tank (4'x4'x16") will look like that:

Anybody else have some idea, advice...

Please :)))) I don't want to order something that will be not "perfect" :))))

I think it looks good since it looks almost exactly like mine :) But if you want a few comments....

You don't need "A" to go all the way to the bottom of the tank. You could just build something to hold the sock up above "B". I'd consider raising the water level by making "D" a little taller and/or adding "E" and "F" as a bubble trap. It will all work just ducky the way it is but depending on your flow rate, water might come pouring over "D" making bubbles that will go into your pump then up to the tank.

You need to remove divider 'D' because that will mean the water will be dropping on top of the return pump which will introduce bubbles into the pump. This will reduce pump efficiency.
Remove it all together as it serves no purpose at all. The water level will fine if 'D' is removed, as long as the overflow can outflow your pump(s) like a good sump arrangement should then it will be fine and the pump(s) will never run dry.

If you look at other sump designs they do not have a divider like your 'D'.

Thank you for helping ;)
