sump filter noise?

alrighty, i am new to this forum. i just got a new 90 gallon tank set up with discus. when i bought the tank the sump was nice and quiet and everything was working awsome. i set it up and now the sump is making loud flushing and burping? i have been playing around with it for a couple days now and still cant figure it out. any advice?????

im guessing you have an overflow box? are you sure the noise didnt come from there? You can get filter floss and put it in your sump to dampen the noise. worked fine for me

There may be bubbles in the canister itself. Did you prime it???
