sump flushing sound???

alrighty, i am new to this forum. i just got a new 90 gallon tank set up with discus. when i bought the tank the sump was nice and quiet and everything was working awsome. i set it up and now the sump is making loud flushing and burping? i have been playing around with it for a couple days now and still cant figure it out. any advice?????

water level dropped a bit from evaporation?

Its really hard to say without seeing whats happening.Can you post photos of the setup?

Do you have a Durso or gurgle-buster on yours?

Do you have the ability to valve down the outflow from the overflow box? If so, try to decrease flow ever so slightly to until no bubbles appear in the pipes where they meet the sump inlet plenum. also, try to keep inlet pipes to the sump submerged with at least a couple of inches of water.

Do you have a durso pipe setup. If not, change it out.
