Ok, so we got our used 265g tank on sunday. It's sitting empty in the middle of my livingroom while we figure things out. It has 2 corner overflow compartments.

It came with a 30g sump tank, 2 quiet 1one 4000 pumps, tubings, bioballs. My hubby hooked everything up last night while I was at work. I'll put up a pic later on of it, but all I need for it is the floss, which I got last night and bioballs? I"ve never done a sump before and have been reading, and reading, and reading on this forum for info.

The left side of the tank is the chamber which holds the floss and bioballs, then I lay the 2 pumps down on the right side to pump the water back in?? I'm going to rig up the UV sterilizer in the sump as well.

Anything else I may need for it or need to do? I was thinking about going out and getting a 50g rubber maid container to make the sump bigger, but won't have time to make it into a sump. I'm sure I can do so at a later date as we need to move the tank to where we want to keep it

You will quickly learn to dislike your 30g sump. That might be the reason you own the tank. Going larger is definitely the right idea. My 250g has a sump about the same size but I expanded the overflow volume by connecting it to my waste tank. Here is my build:
