Decided I want a sump in addition to my Fluval fx5 and Eheim 2217 w/ UV sterilizer
Problem is I'm having trouble piecing everything together. There is only 1 hole (2 3/8") drilled in the bottom corner of the tank. There is no overflow. I have a standard bulkhead (1.5" slip x 1.5" FPT).
Could I run water out the bulkhead on bottom of the tank and control flow with a Gate Valve?
Water would flow into the 55g tank then get pumped back up through a hose that I would have dumping back into the 400g.
I'm worried about the pressure of water coming out of a 1.5" hole in a 400 gallon tank..
Thoughts.. opinions.. insight.. please!
