Sump for NON marine ?

Is there any advantage to setting up a sump for freshwater tanks ?

great filtration
place to hide equipment
add stability to water
Provide a place to introduce new fish (sometimes)
VERY easy to maintain
makes the implementation of a drip system easier
easy to reconfigure if needed
Looks cool

I agree with rallysman. A sump would provide you a easier way to maintain the water quality of your tank (particularly with messy fishes)

PLACE TO HIDE EQUIPMENT-heaters, UV units, bio media, etc.
