I'm planning on building a glass sump. Dimensions will be around 34" X 13" X 13" with 2 glass baffles in the middle which will keep the water depth around 10" on the wet side and 4-6" on the "dry" side. I'm planning to build it out of 1/4" glass. Here's my question - do you think I need any additional top bracing? It seems to me that the baffles will act as bracing anyway so I shouldn't need any more.

My sump is a very similar size and design and has held together for 12 months so far with no problems and no extra bracing. The bottom glass is around 1/2" though.
