This sump is 70 gallons, 48x18x18. I bought it used so I couldn't setup the baffles exactly how I wanted them.

I play on running poret foam for mechanical in the first section, then k1 moving bed for the second, and then 4 liters matrix in bags before the submerged return pump.

Will these baffles be ok for the k1 chamber? I'm not yet sure how the water will move across the baffles. The water enters on the left.

Thanks for any advice.

This is similar to my sump.

Filter socks in first part and then buy sump thick foam sheets and put them between the baffles and it will keep the k1 in.

It looks like its meant as a marine sump with the muddle as a refugium so water will travel over top. But if you put few big airstones in it anyways for getting the k1 to move should be fine.

Ok thanks. It was previously used as a saltwater sump. I'm just hoping that there will be enough water in the second chamber
