I'm new to this so please bear with me. I have a 120g and need a sump with a hob overflow. I have three 10g tanks doing nothing. Is there a way to hook these together and come up with one?

You could potentialy use all three 10g as small over flows into each other, like stairs. The highest one would have water from the tank going into it and the lowest would have the return pump. It will be tricky to make in such a way that you won't have overflow hazards if the pump fails, but it can be done.
-Good Luck!

It would be a lot easier and safer to drill each tank to fit 2 bulk heads and connect them with pvc pipe. First tank could be fine filtration second tanks would be your bio and third tank would have the heater and pump.

Drill them throught the side, as close to the bottom as possible. Connect them all in line with bulkheads and pvc. You can put the inlet in the first tank and the return in the third.
