ok so ive got a 6x2x2 and am gonna use my old 50x20x20 as a sump, now i have been told by the guy at my lfs that a 45mm hole will be enough to give me a decent enough flow to the sump, i can't remember how much he said but is he right or do i need more/less...?

Sent from my GT-I9100 using MonsterAquariaNetwork App

I have a 40mm drain and 25mm return on my 135g. That easily handles 2500lph, so at 45mm I would say you're right on.

First question what pump do you plan on running?
