ok so i have a 40 gallon breeder and i am runing two fluval 405's on it i want to put in a 10 gallon sump. i was planing on haveing both the 405's suck up water from the 40 gallon and pump it out in the sump over bio balls from there the water will go through a bubble trap and in to a section with my heater and an air stone then the water flows in to another section where the 700GPH pump is that has a 3/4 inch outlite back to the 40 gallon breeder! :) lol hows that sound?

FIY the 405's only used for chemical filtering then and they have and they have and output of 225 each so 450GPH coming down to sump 700GPH out will a ball valve to get the sump at right levels!

what do u think???

Never pump out of a tank and pump it back again. It's nearly impossible to get the levels right and you'll end up running dry or with a big flood.

I think your idea will be disastrous :D

ok so if i dont want to spend 60 bucks on and overflow box what should i do

As said, getting 3 different pumps to play nice, is an accident waiting to happen.
No offense, but you have a small tank and want to add a small sump.
Bad + bad is gonna equal allot of grief with not any appreciable gain.
If all you are looking to do is get some experience with sumps, so when you get a big tank your ready to roll, do a PVC overflow.
Lots of designs that work quite well.

Never run a pump out of the tank and another back in
The Fluval 405 is rated at 340gph so you're at 680
At 680gph on a 40g you are at 17 turns which is about 2x max recommended

Don't buy an overflow, build one. It's fun.
Dedicate one of the Fluvals to bio.
Upgrade that 40g to a 120g. You already have the filtration to handle it.

That's wat I think.
