Hello MFKers,

How you doing

As you'll now I have 2 peacock bass and a pike cichlid in my 100 gallon
I change around 50% water every Wednesday&Saturday with good/super fine vacuuming.

I just got the space, funds, permission for my sump.

The space I have is 70 cm by 60 cm and height max is 50 cm

Can you please help me with a few ideas how to make the chambers in the sump for the return to the tank I really want a spray bar.
That way the water is better oxygenated.
I was thinking about using my whisper 60 HOB for pumping water with debris out of tank to sump but don't know if that is enough cause im looking for a turnover for 700 GPH or more.
I'll attach a drawing to have better idea what I mean and what I want do

Please guide me in building my sump and the required pumps if needed.

Get a hob overflow and have that drain into a 55g tank.
Have the water entering the sump drain into a filter sock.
Then you have a return pump in the 55g pumping back into the 100g. Simple.
You can put bio balls, ceramic or moving bed media in the sump.

Thanks gangster

The hob overflow sounds good but that would only take the surface water right??

I want something to like suck the water from 3/4 deep of the tank.
That way when my bass swim/sprint and the debris isf flown up from the bottom it can be sucked out of the tank.

Will 2 of the largest available powerhead do the job??

The debris is soft so I think it can't harm the impeller if any gets sucked in.

I want like 700 gph turnover or is that to much for my 100 gallon??

Overflow pulls from the top. But it also is safe in case the pump fails...wont drain the tank.
IN all reality you should upgrade your tank while your at it.

Thnx bro

In the future I wanna add another pbass so they'll be in odd numbers in stead of 2.

With that being sad what would be the normal tank size be in.gallon wise or dimensions so that they could swim/turn freely in the tank??

A minimum of a 180g. You need atleast 24" width for kelberi and even bigger for others like temensis and pinima etc.
