I have a 75 gallon with sump plan in adding macro and some live rock and I was wondering how many hours should the light be on for? :D

It really only needs to be on oppsite you DT lighting so that there isnt a large ph swing. That should be sufficient to sustain your macroalgae

Ok thanks. I see alot of people with sump lights on same time as their main tanj is on.

There's really no need for that unless you are running an algae scrubber. In that case you sump lights need to be on for 18 hours and still be on when the DT lights are off for PH swing.

Ok thanks so all i'll be doing is turning the sump lights on when dt lights go off.

Good to know....thanks for asking...I would not have known it to matter...

At night when the DT lights go off the ph slowly decreases. If the light is on in the sump it keeps the ph at a more steady value so its not as hard on your livestock everyday
