Well I'm in the process of setting up my 240 4x4x2 and I've been debating to go through wall sump or dual FX5. I picked up a old school 125g for $60 to use as a sump, but now I'm debating about just going canisters. What do you guys think?

Sumps are the best overall. I personally like to do a combo though. I always back my sumps up with a single can. It's nice to have something that can keep oxygenating if you're doing a WC or your pump dies or something.

sum you cant go wrong with one

My tank has a drilled center overflow. Yeah I originally was going to go sump, but I've been debating on the easy but expansive way of canisters.

I use both. You can't beat the media capacity and ease of maintenance of a sump, but I find it hard to get the water really crispy with a sump alone. Since most sumps are gravity fed, it is hard to push the water through a fine filter pad with a decent flow rate. Thats why I use canisters for water polishing.
