i set up my sump and everything went great except for there's 2 small leaks. they're leaking 1 drop every 30 sec or a min. this happen in the threaded join that i used teflon tape on but didn't not tighten all the way in , and it's too late to redo them now since i already glued everything in , is there anything out there i can put on to fix this kind of small leaks? it's not reallly a show stopper but it's anoying and i'm afraid it would get worse
thanks

if its a threaded joint.. just tighten it some more.. if you threaded that one joint but glued all the ones around it so now you cant unthread it...

you can try drying the area and using some rubbing alcohol to be sure its really dry and then adding some more glue.. that may work..

you can do the same thing and use silicone as well but while silicone works well and lasts a long time.. some people dont like it..

if that does not work.. only real choice is to cut the section out and redo it.. hack saws are cheap and so is pvc...

Yup, what chester said. I wouldn't try to rig it (personaly). I would cut out the section, retape it (make sure the tape is wrapped WITH the threads, not against), and retighten. Buy a pvc union and glue it back together. I just don't like to rig it because in my mind, if it wasn't done right the first time, there is a possibility of a failure later.

for the record im all for silicone to patch those pesky lil leaks (overflow lines only.. not for the pump/return line.. pump lines are worth doing it right)

thanks guys for your advice, unfortunately it's on the return pipe. i'll probably will go with the silicone route to see how it works out.
