Trying to find a good diagram or set of instructions for a diy sump. We have so many random pieces of equipment laying around so wondered if we had all the stuff to make one. Can you use a submersible powerhead as a pump in a sump filter?

powerheads are not made to push water up from a sump to your tank. you'll have to invest in a good pond pump that is made for the job.
