Sump prolems!

Ok... here's the deal... my sump almost never equalizes.. the sump almost always tries to empty.... but it's weird, sometimes it does out of the blue! Any clue to what is up?

Got pics of your setup? Sounds like your overflows can't keep up with the pump.

that is the exact problem.... bigger siphon hose maybe?

overflows not able to handle pump size. put a ball valve on pump or get new overflows. they should always be rated for more than the pump rating

Beat me too it....yes, certainly a plumbing imbalance there..

probably plumbing issue maybe the sump is too big for the amount of water its receiving post a pic of it

I will today... It is doing it again, almost overflowed my tank!

I was also experiencing the same issue as the OP. Ball valve took care of it once you do some tweaking with the outgoing pressure.

I would get bigger overflows before I restricted pump gph.
