I bought a 90 gallon tank with an overflow. I currently only fill the water up so that it doesn't leak out but I now want to use it.

I have been looking at Eheim pumps like the 1262 but do not know if that would be to powerful. I want to keep some loaches and other fish and can add other filters like hob and canister filters if needed. The sump I want to use is a 50 gallon tank with a pretty basic/common sump layout.

Let me know if I am on the right track here or if I need a different pump option. I need a submersible pump because the sump is not drilled and I was thinking Eheim because of there reliability.

I prefer Danner Supreme pumps over the Eheim. A lot cheaper too. Last for years.

I am affraid the website I order my fish stuff from does not carry that brand. I am pretty limited to suppliers in my country but thanks thow. Any suggestions on the flow rate?
