I have a 135gal tank and am trying to turn my tank over 5 times per hour so probably somewhere near 700gph.

i went to home depot and bought a pond pump. they are cheap. try going for a bigger turnover rate though, like 8-10x

i can tell you now that the eheim compact 5000 is very noisy for such a small pump.
my maxi-jet 3200 is very quiet in comparison and cheaper.

I'm looking at buying a Hagen Powerjet 3000 for $75 what are your thoughts? New and in the box.

that sort of like an aquaclear 110 powerhead to me. i have one and man, does it haul the water.
