i was talking to the fella whoose building my sump and i had this (well i thought) awsome design. anyway it had 4 pannels and it was gonna be a 50 gal sump. anyways i show him my design. and hes like y not make it this thi and that after "deabting" for over 1 and a half hours e finaaly said the convincing point. he said if fer watever reason ur intake to the sump stops this desng is better and it provides same amount of filtration. anway basically if the pump puming but the water did nt flow back down, this would make it last a bit longer. and his system had more media space etc. anyway im wondering why to people get sumps that are so complex when less complexless "sexy" desigs as the guy described) are better/same. so why is it people have complex sumps???
