i am starting to set up my 55 gallon reef aquarium and was wandering if i were to install a DIY sump does it matter how many gallons the sump is?
Will a 10 gallon be enough for a 55 gallon or do the sump have to be larger?

if i were you i would go with a 20 or 30g and make a nice refuge in there also get a heathier system the more water the more stable and forging a small tnak you miss a wc and you have some probels in a 100g its not so bad :)

Yea your right i do want a refuge in it as well. I will get a 20 as a sump then.
