Sump Question

At what size tank would a sump filter be needed? I know that sumps can basically be used for any size just about, but what's the max size of a tank before canister filters become "useless?"

Unless you are talking about monster tank, a canister will never become useless to the average aquarist.

I'd say after 100g a sump would be a good idea

Yes, i agree. After around 100galons I find cannisters have pathetically weak flowrate compared to what i want and there for go for a sump.
