Okay, tank is almost done now the sump.

How do I calculate the size of input and output piping size I need.

The sump is 70 gallons and the pump moves 2640 GPH. I think the inside dementions make it a 426 gallons of water, not tank size but water it will hold.

Will this be enough filtration or will I need to keep some of my canister filters?

There's a sticky called pipe sizing charts and flow rates. That should help you out with what size pipe to use. Remember to always have an overflow that can move water faster than your pump. Also how big is the main tank? What's going to be the stock? The bio filtration depends a lot an if the tank if overstocked or understocked. Also a 70 gallon sump sounds pretty sweet. Would you be able to put up some pics?

500 gallon tank but the inside makes it a 426 gallon/
stocking is 1 silver arowana, 2 wild oscars, 3 motoro stingrays. thats all I am putting in.I had pics in the diy a while back. I will post pictures when its done.
