i have a mag 12 that is plumbed with a 3 foot piece of 3/4 inch i.d. hose to 1 1/2 pvc for my return. if i make the hose shorter will this increase my flow? im using 1 1/2 because directions state that for max flow. thanx for the help

thanx for the help. what i meant (but didnt say-sorry) was if i use less 3/4 and more 1 1/2 will my flow increase or is my flow what it is once it hits the 3/4.

just go right from the outlet of the 12 into an adapter to 1.5. it flows more freely.

Yes, look for a 3/4" to 1 1/2" PVC bushing. That's an odd size, but they can be had from online sellers.

Incidentally, your flow will increase with 1 1/2" piping, but the velocity will be reduced.... if that makes sense!
