Title says it all...what size should I have for a 265g? Currently have a 30g sump tank that came with it. Have lil' monsters now, but will grow big.

Was thinking of getting a 50g rubbermaid....

but, want to be able to use same pumps and hoses as such....really don't want to deal with all of that. Currently has 2 quiet ones 4000 (i think)

The 30g is working out really good now, but like I said, when lil' monsters grown big.....RTCxTSN, marbled pim who's already 16 inches, footlong algae eater, lil' sharks, and such...

The rule of thumb is 1/3 of the tank size. To use one that is 1/10th the size is do-able but raises serious challenges. The big one is that the smaller the sump is, the easier it is to cause a flood.

I would recommend going with a 75 gallon sump. That will allow you plenty of room for filtration and room for the extra water when the power goes out.
