Hi,

I'm planning to have my tank drilled as overflow for my sump.
surrently using a diy overflow.
but if i'm to drill my tank for overflow. i will have to remove my diy overflow and no water will continue to flow to my tank.
will the bacteria in the sump die if there's no water flow for a day? while waiting for the silicone to cure?

thanks.

just an idea but,can you put a little pump on a loop in the sump, so that you still have water turnover hopefully it will keep some of the bacteria happy and you wont loose them all..dont know if it will work

thanks :) thats a really good idea. will do that to keep water flowing :)

Keep some of the old tank water and add it to the sump every 2 hours to feed the BB (kind of a reverse W/C :D ).
