What is recommended as the best setup for a sump. I have been searching the web a bit too much and now I'm confused.
For the gravel in the tank caribsea peace river was recommended.
Any problem with using Caribsea Tahiti moon, as i like the black look or is that not ideal?
and what media (I hope I'm saying the right term) should I use for the sump compartments?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i have enclosed pics of my sump tank and have no clue how to set it up yet!

I used a mix of peace river tahitian moon and torpedo beach .....i would use 200 micron filter socks and for bio get some matrix

200 micron socks work great, but if you have problems with clarity try 100 or 50 micron. They clog much faster is the drawback.

200 will still keep the tank clear .....50 is near impossible with rays unless u change literally every couple days and 100 imo still clogs too fast....

With the pooping machine rays are i wouldnt go under 100

In my experience 200 couldn't touch my rays waste with the water clarity I desire. But I could be heavier stocked than you. A mix of 100 and 50 keeps clear clarity, changing socks is part of the routine.
