Sump tank silicone

Hi all is silicone strong for connecting sump tank? IS there any specific type of silicone used or any type will do?

you could go to your lfs and buy aquarium silicone or homedepot and get ge type I 100% silicone for windows and doors ive used the ge one my self worked out pretty good

Only buy silicone for aquariums, most other have anti bacterial additives that can kill fish.
