I recently built a sump for my nano tank and i cant seem to get the water level correct in the tank it will increasingly get higher or slowly get lower and i cant seen to get it just right! how can i fix this i have attached pictures...

I have ball valves attached and thought that would solve the problem but no if i barley tweak one it ether fills up or suck more water out than is coming in. help please!!
You need an internal or HOB overflow box. Trying to adjust a siphon to match the pump return is futile, it will never work long-term.
You can make one fairly easily out of PVC, or a few tupperware containers, a bulkhead and some u-tubes.
