Very cool.. :) Wish I'd the space to build a sump.. I'd my tank on the floor for my convenience.. :(
May I ask the reason you keep the middle part empty(where there's air bubbles coming out)? Why not stuff more scrubbies in there?

My sump is next to my tank and not under it. I did this because I hate to have to lay down or squat to do maintenance.

Its not that bad really, to squat to do maintenance is all part of fish keeping i would say :D

It works really well too m8, the tank water is crystal clear and the temp is at a constant 27c, thats with the heaters in the sump :D

Lack of space is the only reason I don't have a sump.. lol

I never had the space untill i got the 8x2x2 then i made the space ;) oh and moved to a bigger house  which played a big part in it :D

The good thing about the 2 in 1 sump/tank is, if the pump ever fails for some reason i.e power cut (which never hardly happens) Pump failure which is prob more likely, The section where the fishys are will still be getting filtered as ive just put an external on that bit :D

I would love a sump for every setup i got, or even a monster sump to run all hmmmm an idea me thinks
