I currently have a 150 gallon full of Malawi Haps that are very dirty and big. I am filtering using a 2600gph sump with a 40gallon sump tank. The water never seems to be clear. I am debating whether to say F the sump and just go with 3 aquaclear 110's. What is everyones opinion on this? Any suggestions?

NOOOOOO sump is the way to go. how much bio media do you have? waterchanges? green water of just cloudy? ammonia? nitrites? nitrates? power filters just plain suck compared too sumps.

You either dont have enough mechanical or biological filtration. That should be more than enough for that tank. It should be much better than a power filter.
can you post pictures of how it is set up?

How do you have your return running ? Single tube or spray bar ? Defenitely add more media to sump.. Maybe some scoria..... What are you running in it right now ? Do you have a pic of your tank to give us a better idea of how to maim you !! LOL Just kiddin man.. But still show us a pic. and give us more details on your filtration and flow :)

Wetdry filters are gravity fed. You still need some kind of mechanical filtration to go with the wet dry, sump etc. Try one of these.

you dont have to add another filter for mechanical filtration, you can just add a better prefilter to the wet/dry. I have a couple of tanks with wet/dry only, they are crystal clear.
