Sump w/bead filter design?

I was wondering if any one else has tried this.

I recently noticed that my 100 gallon sump had some slight dead areas. So I added 2 powerheads (one on each side; front/back) to create a circular motion. This makes all of the scrubbers/bio balls to constantly be moving, and in theory increase the available surface. Has anyone else tried this?

if the media is moving around in your sump.. it sounds like you need more media.... if it can move it means water is flowing around it insted of through it...
