ok, question.

so I am building my own 150ish ply/acrylic. before the build i have a question. I have planned on running a fx5 and a sump on this saltwater. the whole build is going to be nearly on the floor. the bottom of the main tank will be 7" off the floor. the sump wolud be at floor level bottom of sump being 7" lower than the bottom of the main tank. the sump will set at the left of the main tank. water height in the main will be at 25" being a total of 32" from the floor to water level. I will feed the water from water level into the sump from on side of the main (left side) and then on th opposite side of sump will be the return line that will go under the main and back up into the right side of the tank. will this work?

I beleive most canisters have to be located under the tank......On the other hand, building a DIY wet dry for a 150-180 would cost under $100........

so i looked at the manual and it says:

• The filter lid must be at least 7.8 in. (20cm) below your
aquarium’s water level but never more than 4.9 ft. (150cm).

the lid of the fx5 will be 13" lower than the water level. So I think this will work. Still can't find any info on sump. andyone have any experience with a sump just slightly lower than the main tank?
