Sump

Hey got this sump of a mate water comes in on the left prob have a spay bar and filter wool and the middle section ceramic rings and a heater and a pump in the last section does this sound ok? Any tips thanks

Will it work ok it's for a 3x18x18 tank and the sump is 2x15x18

I prefer bio balls in a wet/dry arrangement to submerged ceramic rings myself. This would require you to make a drip plate though. I like bio balls because of the huge amount of water surface area they expose to the air creating very oxygen rich water.

Like you stated, I would run filter wool in the first compartment.

I would think the sump will do a very nice job for your tank. It looks like the builder did a nice job on the sump.
