Sump

I am getting a 450gallon tank later this year and I am going to build a sump for it, the only problem is I have no idea how.

So I came up with the idea of building a mini sump for my 55, I was think of something between 10-20gallons so if I do stuff it up it doesn't cost extravagent amounts of money. So I was wondering if someone can point me in the direction website that contains all the information I require.

I know fairly well how to build the sump, its the overflow I don't really understand.

BTW I do not wish to modify the glass.

Check out the sticky in the DIY section on the PVC overflow. Another option is to just buy a HOB overflow. That's really the only way to do it since you don't want to drill the tank.
