does anybody know were I can buy a pre made sump for a 1000 gal tank? It seems I have more money than Time these days or i would make it my self. Thanks

ok...how about this. I have a 120 Gal. tank that I will use for the sump. Do I really need baffles? I know they help to disfuse bubbles but I think I have seen some sumps that were just that... a smaller tank with media in a media bag. This will be my first sump so I would really like some imput guys. Also just a side note I plain on supplmenting with a canister filter, maybe a EHEIM FILTER PRO IIIe 2078 as a back up.

I use a 150 gallon Rubbermaid Stock tank on my 500 gallon salt water system. There is plenty of real estate for my skimmer, live rock, pumps etc. If you run your drain water through a filter sock, you should not get any micro bubbles.

Please remember that your sump should never be filled to the top, you need to have enough room in the sump to hold the amount of water drains from the display with the return off. If you have a power outage or need to shut the return pump down, you dont want lots of water overflowing the sump onto the floor.

This would be what you want:

I agree, the rubbermaid tubs work great. If money is not an issue and you don't have the time to build something, look at Bashsea. It is a fairly new company out of Michigan. They build custom filters and components. I have one of thier skimmers and it is awesome. The prices are pretty reasonable and the workmenship is great. I have spoken to the owner several times and he really knows his stuff. Just google Bashsea.

OMG....I check out their website(Bashsea). They have some very nice units. That is exactly what I am looking for. I live in Japan, I hope they will ship overseas. EXCELLENT, Hook up. Thanks
