need your help here
today I saw a nice sun catsifh (at the moment I don't even know what fish was it) and I'm really thinking in bringing it home.
but I know almost nothing of this fish.
I'd like to know the best water temp, behavior, food, pH, all that stuff.

thanks in advance, maybe monday I'll take it.

eazy cat to take care of gets about 12'' but can get to 18'' in the wild but is a really slow grower eats all sorts of stuff and alot of it

Temp i keep mine at high 70s and low 80s but they do better at low to mid 70s they like a little salt in there water

I would have to disagree with planetcatfish my sun catfish aren't that peacful they will stand up for them selfs in a heart beat my larger sun doesn't like my four line pim they fight all the time the sun will even bite the four line once i saw it clamp onto the bottom of my four lines mouth for a few seconds then it chased my fire mouths around and snapped at them didn't do any damage but shows they can fight

my two little guys fight some times to but they will also rest by each other so the key is plenty of hideing spots

my sun cat likes floating pellets, at night he comes out and eats

forgot to mention all the fish it tries to pick on are around the same size except the four line catfish which is about 6'' the sun being 4'' it will run from by JD 4''-5'' and my jag 7''

mine only comes out at night. likes the dark some times i forget i have it! but it is really nice looking when i do see it mine's about 8"

I have two that are a little over 6". They hide and hide and hide some more. I finally removed all of my decorations from the tank and now they swim around underneath my TSN hdiding under it (it's hilarious).

They sometimes fight amongst themselves but I've never seen them fight or snip at any other fish that they have been with.
