Sun Catfish ... the cutest!

Here are my two suncats. I got them a few months ago at around 3". They've both grown a lot and eat like pigs. The one is slightly bigger and dominant. They're very cool and active ... and their color is amazing!

They're in a 6.5x2x2 ~200 gallons (with lots of other fish though )

They stay quite small ... 30-35cm (12-14") in aquaria. Mine are 5-6"..

Hey I got a black variety but mines kinda looks more like a knife than a catfish. Are they variants of the same species or they they unrelated?

that catfish esp. in the right picture above the FRT looks remarkably like a Wels (S. glanis).
Tell me it ain't so?!

Yeah it looks like it but it definitely is not! I had it for over 6 months now and it has only grown about 3-4". If it really were a wels cat it would be a giant by now!

I think I found its name-- it is a "Ompok Catfish" of some sort. Are these related to Sun cats?
