Does anyone have a source for Orange Spotted Sunfish, have not seem them on any native fish sites?

Check your local hatchery. The one closest to me called Zetts has 3-4" sunfish for $2.00. For natives a local hatchery is your best option short of catching one.

Rainbowrunner on aquabid. Hs getting me a 4" male.

A membership to NANFA might also be a good idea for you if you're interested in natives. They also have a forum just for natives and quite a few members in the FL area would probably be willing to trade fish with you.

Sometimes, Jonahs aquarium or Sachs aquaculture will have them also.

I live only an hour from Sachs, however the owner told me he only had gotten Orange Spotted on one occasion. Last trip there did pick up some nice fish though, a few more Blue Spotted Sunfish, one Banded Sunfish, some Southern Red Bellied Dace and some small Rainbow Shiners. Unfortunately the Shiners became food for my Golden Topminnows (which are real pigs!), they were just too small and I should have known better. Put 8 in, the next day had 1, now none. So the GTM went into my outdoor pond with the other natives. If I can get back up there I hope to get a few more Rainbows and will try again.

I really am developing an appreciation for the Dace, they have all the colors of a Denison's Barb, albeit not as intense, and are very active and peaceful, eventually I would like to get a school of ten in the tank. I have some in the pond as well but their colors are wasted in a pond, still in the hope they will breed that's where they will stay for now.
