Sunfish Pictures

Does anyone have pictures or point me to a place that has pictures of sunfish from birth to about 2 years? I am trying to figure out how old my sunfish are. I caught a few earlier this week but only now are the larger ones making their nests. I am assuming that the fish already spawned in deeper water or these fish are a year old.



This video is not of the actual fish I caught but are about the same size. I caught these ones last year same time.

They look about a year old to me. The best experience I have that may help is that last July I caught a YOY Pumpkinseed at about 1.00" and it's currently 1.75-2.00".

You think the ones in the video are a complete year old? The ones I caught this week were born last summer in 2015?

when I caught my p-seeds, they were roughly an inch long, possibly less. I'd say they were between .5-1 year old give or take. My biggest one, Simba, is roughly 5-6" now and I've had him 2ish years? The two newest additions are roughly 3" long going on having them 1.5 years.

If the video is a year old, those were mostly born in spring/ summer of 2014.
