^ What Tommy said. Small panfish hook with a red worm or nightcrawler, a small weight, and a bobber. Have your bait sit mid/shallow depth and just wait :) Sunfish are pretty darn easy to catch.

worms, corn, so easy to catch, i'm a master of catching bluegills and sunfish i may say, bobbers are an annoyance. plus use a light rod so it's easier to tell when you got one hooked. I'd avoid keeping green sunfish, they don't grow big/are annoying and will take food away from other desired predator fish.

Or any Green hybrids. The green hybrids may will reverting back to the green sunfish in few generations.

what kijnd of tackle do you normally fish with? for spinner gear, try worms or 1/16th grubs, For fly gear, try olive wolly worms, size 6 or so.

Don't even cast! Just l let your line sit in the water shallow enough to where you can SEE when the fish bites it then simply yank it up onto land... Or just use a cast net... It will not hurt their mouths...
