I have a 3" Texas cichlid that has developed these symptoms (an inverted, sunken belly and constant slightly flared gills). None of his tankmates are showing these symptoms. However, while he doesn't aggressively hit food offered, he does continue to eat twice daily.
My gut us telling me it's a parasite and to go pick up some proxypro....
Any ideas?

I can't make anything suggestion about sunken belly but I want to clarify about slightly flared gill though, sound like your fish having gill curl rather than constantly flaring at everything...it's not an Aimara :P

any pictures? use the prazi pro. think it would eat metro treated food?

Best I can do right now. doesn't look that washed out in person
