Here are a few pictures of the sunsets I kept back out of this weeks batch. These guys are orangish in color, very unique. 10" in size.

I also kept back 30 or so of the Highly spotted Dark Florida gars 8"+ insize for all of you.

These guys are nice. These guys are hand picked out of 575 gars and I have some real odd ball patterend ones saved back to sell to all of you for a good price this year.

I will make a gar post for sales with all the ones for MFK.

Thanks,
John

So you're saying that we should set aside some money now to get some awesome gars from you later? :grinno:

I saved the best for you guys here. Saving less then $75 shouldnt be hard for most. With my shipping and the prices I will be selling the gars landed to you door for $75 for 1 gar. I have a few real odd ones that I will ask good price for and that is because they are very unique.

Thanks,
John

Well then I need to set a bit more aside because I know that you have had some pretty unique gars for sale before.

I'll be awaiting pictures of these gars.

i want to reiterate the quality of the stock John is offering - even before he helped me out with my work, the gars i purchased from him were top notch (1 adult FLG and several juveniles) - all of which i still have and are looking great.

we have future work ahead of us, but i have received a variety of specimens from him and they are all of highest quality. you can't go wrong with the wild caught FLG's like this...much better than the farmed fish you may get from other sources.

i also strongly believe you see that longer-snout effect (it remains to varying degrees) primarily tied with the wild-caught fishes...we are starting to notice that the gars that are captive bred tend to have shorter snouts (all relative of course). this is an example of what seems to be a very plastic trait in gars--
