Hey guys, I've been researching sunset hygro and it seems like an easy to grow plant and i would love to get one. However fish stores in my area do not seem to cary it. There are other kinds of hygro for sale and my question is are all the different types relatively the same to take care of or is sunset the easiest? I am new to growing plants in my tank. I don't have any right now. what are some easy to grow plants? I also have guppies in the tank i want to put the plant in is that a problem, will they eat it? I also have a tank with guppies and a pleco, I think the pleco would desroy any plants am i right? thanks for the help in advanced.

sunset is not being offered probably because its on the federal ban list as a noxious weed. Alot of hygros are easy and fast growing. The limiting factor is really light. What size tanks and what lights are you going to use (wattage, type, and color spectrum)

im just using a 15 watt incandesent for a 5 gal tank right now. But i hear sunset can grow in just about anything like old toilet water. when you say noxious do you mean its poison? is this bad for my guppies? and are other types of hygro posionus?

noxious as in if its not disposed of properly it will choke out local waterways so its not supposed to be sold

i bought a hygro plant yesterday i want to repot it what king of soil should i use? it must be banned, mgamer
