My sunshine is about 2.5 inches or so, and recently got some bright yellow patching on its sides. Do the females get this coloring? I am not seeing any blue at all, and my other species of peacock males all had their blues showing at this size. Thanks.

Most female don't get much color unless they were hormoned, but if you have had them and just started coloring it's a male. There are a lot of variables with peacocks. I have some that a 4.5" barely have color and others are barely 2" and are beautiful. It depends on their individual temperament also tank-mates temperament.
